Ardova Plc, a leading player in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector, has entered into a bulk purchase agreement with Dangote Refinery to ensure reliable and affordable petroleum supply for consumers nationwide.
Grant Onome, Ardova Plc’s Head of Brands and Corporate Communications, disclosed the development in a statement on Monday.
The agreement, he said, cements a longstanding relationship between the two companies, with Ardova Plc set to secure a full range of petroleum products under the new framework.
Onome noted that the partnership aligns with President Tinubu’s push for a competitive and efficient downstream industry, enabling Ardova to deliver products at more competitive rates across the country.
This collaboration follows the commencement of crude refining activities by Dangote Refinery, alongside operations at Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries.
Recently, Dangote Refinery partnered with MRS to sell Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at ₦935 per litre, a move aimed at reducing the cost burden on Nigerians.
Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, highlighted the refinery’s commitment to providing quality and affordable petroleum products.
“We recently reduced the price of PMS from ₦970 to ₦899.50 at the refinery and partnered with MRS to ensure this benefit reaches consumers,” he said.
Dangote urged other marketers, including NNPC Retail, to collaborate in extending discounted prices to Nigerians.
“The refinery’s goal is to enhance accessibility to high-quality fuel while ensuring affordability and health safety for consumers,” he added.
