Nigerian Comedian, Basketmouth, whose real name is Bright Okpocha, hinted at a new chapter in life with media personality Victoria Eze.

In an Instagram post, the comedian shared a suggestive photo with Eze, popularly known as Miz Vick, captioned, “About to step into the next chapter of my life.”

The post sparked widespread speculation of an engagement, leaving fans divided between excitement and scepticism.

However, Basketmouth has since clarified the engagement rumours, revealing in a social media video that the post was a playful attempt to “chase clout.”

He admitted to being surprised by how many people fell for the prank, using the moment to promote his upcoming film, A Ghetto Love Story.

The film, co-written by Victoria Eze, is set to premiere in November 2024 and draws inspiration from Basketmouth’s personal life experiences.

The teaser promises a mix of gritty and heartwarming elements. According to Eze, “We have finally made our very first feature-length film, A Ghetto Love Story, and I’m really excited because I wrote the film.”

The star-studded cast includes prominent names such as Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Wale Ojo, Mercy Johnson, Daniel Etim Effiong, and Beverly Osu. However, the exact release date for the film has not yet been disclosed.

This marketing stunt comes after Basketmouth’s announcement of his divorce from Elsie Okpocha in 2022, which shocked fans across social media.
