A former Chief of Army Staff,  Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd.) has called on the Federal Government to put in place a reward system for security agents in the country.

Buratai made this known at an award ceremony organised by Our Nigeria News on Sunday night in Abuja.

According to him, this would help motivate and ensure the country gets the best out of its security personnel.

The former Army Chief added that with a reward system in place, security personnel would show more commitment and loyalty, noting that this was needed to address insecurity as well as to move the nation forward.

Bruatai said, “We should still have hope. He has assured us of a renewed hope. I call on Nigerians not to lose hope and should be patient there is light at the end of the tunnel.  We will get that promised land.”
