The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has approved the Nigerian Foreign Exchange (FX) Code and will officially launch it on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at its headquarters in Abuja.
The FX Code is designed to serve as a guideline for authorised dealers in the foreign exchange market, promoting ethical conduct, transparency, and accountability.
The apex bank aims to strengthen market practices and align them with global standards.
In a statement, the CBN emphasised the importance of the Code in fostering confidence in Nigeria’s financial system while stabilising the FX market.
