EFCC, DSS to Spend Over N2bn on Vehicle Fuel in 2025.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) have allocated over ₦2 billion for fueling their operational vehicles in 2025, as detailed in the proposed budget submitted by President Bola Tinubu.

President Tinubu presented the ₦47.90 trillion “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace and Rebuilding Prosperity” to the National Assembly on December 18, with ₦4.91 trillion set aside for defence and security.

The EFCC’s breakdown includes ₦808.7 million for vehicle fuel and ₦462 million for refreshments and meals.

The DSS has allocated ₦1.37 billion for fueling vehicles, along with ₦1.4 million for tactical counter-terrorism equipment.

Additionally, the DSS plans to spend ₦1.4 billion on arms and ammunition procurement and ₦1.1 billion on advanced cybersecurity tools.

The proposed budget also shows that the DSS, alongside other agencies under the Office of the National Security Adviser, will dedicate ₦960 billion to maintaining defence aircraft and acquiring security equipment, highlighting the administration’s focus on national security.
