Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, is set to be arraigned today before Justice Maryan Anenih at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama.
Bello, accompanied by his lawyers, voluntarily reported to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday.
The anti-corruption agency has since detained him to finalise preparations for his arraignment.
The EFCC had earlier filed a fresh case against Bello, prompting the court to issue a public summons on October 3.
At the last hearing, EFCC counsel Jamiu Agoro assured the court of the summons’ validity, leading Justice Anenih to schedule the case for November 27.
Although the EFCC confirmed the arraignment, its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, withheld specific details about the charges.
