The Federal Government has designated Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, as public holidays in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced this in a statement issued by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Magdalene Ajani.

Congratulating Muslims on completing the Ramadan fast, the minister urged Nigerians to embrace virtues of self-discipline, compassion, and unity. He also encouraged prayers for national peace and prosperity.
