The Federal Government has commenced the construction of a smart divisional police headquarters and six residential quarters for rank-and-file officers in Mpape, Bwari Area Council, Abuja.

This initiative forms part of ongoing reforms aimed at modernising Nigeria’s police force with advanced technology and inclusivity.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister of Police Affairs Ibrahim Gaidam, represented by Acting Permanent Secretary Yusuf Argungu, highlighted the importance of the project in enhancing security in Mpape and nearby communities.

According to Bolaji Kazeem, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, the facility is designed to address crimes such as kidnapping, robbery, and “one-chance” operations that affect daily life.
