A 45-year-old teacher, Stella Nwadigbo, has been arraigned before Magistrate Court 1, Ogba, Lagos, for indecent treatment and assault of a three-year-old pupil in Ikorodu.
Nwadigbo was arrested after a viral video surfaced showing her mistreating the child.
The Family Support Unit of Ikorodu Police Division swiftly took action, arresting her on January 8, 2025, and transferring her to the Gender Unit for further investigation.
The victim has been provided with medical care, and Nwadigbo has been remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Facility until her next court appearance on February 18, 2025.
Lagos State Police Commissioner, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, commended the public for their swift response and reaffirmed the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents and visitors.
