The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) has commended Nigeria for achieving a 75.5 percent global compliance score under the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Cape Town Convention.

This recognition was conveyed to Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, at the closing session of the 46th ITF Congress, according to a statement by Tunde Moshood, the minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications.

The ITF’s message highlighted Nigeria’s accomplishment, emphasising that it provides the country with a platform to further strengthen its regional aviation industry.

The focus is on fostering decent work, economic development, and environmental sustainability within the sector.
