- What inspired you to start your music career?
My love for music at a tender age inspired me to start focusing on it. I would usually read and mime to other musicians lyrics and from there I started understanding it as a structure of art and started writing my own songs because of the passion I had for it.
- Can you describe your musical style and influences?
I would like to consider my musical style as a fusion of different sounds and genres. I’m focusing more on Aftobeats and its evolution.
I enjoyed listening to rap and reggae coming up as a child so I sometimes infuse them together. I like to listen to pop and rnb cause of their rhythm and melodies.
- What has been your biggest achievement in music so far?
My biggest achievement so far has been my growth and development as an artist.
There has been improvement in sound and confidence, along with the other benefits that comes with the profession
- How do you approach songwriting and what is your creative process like?
I approach songwriting as a one way dialogue to which I express myself and make my emotions felt. My music is often influenced by my every day life situation and sometimes other individuals feedbacks.
How long the song may take to be completed depends on the message and love for the particular song, usually I like to take as long as possible if there are no deadlines. I like to just vibe to the beat a couple times daily and let the messengers bring the words to my brain.
- Who are some of your favorite artists or collaborators you’ve worked with?
Currently I have no favourites, everyone of them has one or two traits that I admire and songs that I enjoy and vibe to.
I have worked with a lot of artists but then the most notable names would be Evelle, Majeeed, Ayanfe, blacq Dee and Idowest
- What challenges have you faced in the music industry, and how did you overcome them?
One challenge that I have faced and still face is lack of resources or financial support, which I use more as a form of motivation to know that I need to always keep improving my craft to the point where the sponsors can’t afford not to work with me
- Can you share a memorable experience from one of your performances?
Yes lol, I went to a show and when it was time to me to perform, I collected the mic and started vibing.
Next thing you know, one guy just came from nowhere and started spraying me money and doing video, everything was going smoothly until after my performance he came to ask for the money back that he just want to hype me
I didn’t know how to feel, I just gave the money back so that I will not spoil my stz
- What message do you hope to convey through your music?
I wish to leave a message full of life realities(good or bad), but in general speaking to the minds of both the young and the old about hope and strength in self empowerment.
- How do you engage with your fans and what role do they play in your career?
Currently I play the CEO, currently not signed by a major label yet so I finance every project myself and have to make sure that everything works perfect. In talks with a management and if all goes well, we will be working together in the nearest future.
I engage my fans through social media, and a Whatsap group which is currently inactive but will be reinstated soon
- What are your future goals and upcoming projects that fans can look forward to?
I have a project coming by the end of the year
My first ever EP, but I have a couple of singles lined up before so that they don’t wait too long
