The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion on the Marine Bridge for urgent maintenance from December 4, 2024, to February 25, 2025.

The Federal Ministry of Works will focus on repairing sections of the bridge’s asphalt pavement during this period.

Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, urged motorists to use alternative routes to ease congestion.

Travelers from Apapa to Lagos Island can take the Costain Roundabout to Eko Bridge or connect through Ijora 7up via Marine Bridge.

Routes to Ijora Causeway or Iddo remain accessible. Notably, traffic inbound Apapa from Costain Roundabout will not be affected.

Osiyemi appealed for patience, highlighting the diversion as a necessary measure to manage traffic disruptions.

He promised regular updates and support throughout the repair period.
