MC Oluomo Elected National President of NURTW.

Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, was elected National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) on Saturday.

Running unopposed, his election took place at the Union’s Zonal Secretariat along Osogbo/Ikirun road, with delegates from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti in attendance.

The election, held during the Union’s Quadrennial Delegate Conference, was overseen by acting NURTW National President, Aliyu Issa-Ore, who noted that the Southwest had followed constitutional guidelines in selecting Oluomo.

Tajudeen Agbede was elected Vice President, Southwest, and Akeem Adeosun as Trustee.

In his acceptance speech, Oluomo urged peace and unity among members, pledging to uphold the Union’s interests.

“I have forgiven everyone who has offended me, and I hope those I have offended will forgive me as well,” he stated, emphasising commitment to preserving the Union as a livelihood.
