The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suwaiba Ahmed, has pledged her dedication to advancing President Bola Tinubu’s reform agenda in the education sector.
Ahmed made the declaration on Saturday during a visit to Governor Umar Namadi at the Government House in Dutse, Jigawa State.
She expressed gratitude for the governor’s support in her appointment and committed to delivering on her mandate.
“I am honoured to serve Jigawa State and Nigeria. I will work tirelessly to realise President Tinubu’s vision for the education sector,” she stated.
Governor Namadi encouraged Ahmed to focus on improving education quality and expressed confidence in her abilities, citing her track record as a former leader of the State College of Legal and Islamic Studies in Ringim.
Responding to concerns about Ahmed and Defence Minister Mohammed Abubakar being from the same local government, Namadi clarified that her appointment was based on merit.
