MultiChoice has announced an increase in the prices of its DStv and GOtv packages, effective from March 1, 2025. The company, in a statement issued on Monday, attributed the adjustment to rising operational costs, currency depreciation, and inflation.

The statement noted that the review was necessary to continue delivering quality homegrown and international content using advanced technology.

“This is to enable us to continue offering world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology,” the statement read.

Under the new pricing structure, the DStv Compact package will rise from ₦15,700 to ₦19,000, Compact Plus from ₦21,000 to ₦30,000, and the Premium subscription from ₦37,000 to ₦44,500.

Similarly, GOtv subscribers will see price changes, with the Jinja package increasing from ₦3,600 to ₦3,900, GOtv Plus from ₦4,850 to ₦5,800, GOtv Max from ₦7,200 to ₦8,500, Supa from ₦10,500 to ₦11,400, and Supa Plus from ₦15,700 to ₦16,800.

The latest hike comes nearly a year after the last price review, as MultiChoice grapples with economic challenges affecting its operations in Nigeria.
