NIS Arrests Bobrisky at Seme Border During Attempt to Flee Nigeria

Nigerian controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Nigeria-Benin Republic border while attempting to flee the country.

In a statement released on Monday, the NIS confirmed Bobrisky’s arrest as he tried to cross into Benin Republic.

According to Premium Times, Bobrisky was apprehended around midnight and detained until the following morning.

He has since been transferred to the Lagos office of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) in Ikeja for interrogations.

An NIS source revealed that Bobrisky handed his passport to another person for stamping at the border, but an officer noticed his name during the checks and requested that he disembark from the vehicle, leding to his arrest.

Bobrisky is currently under investigation by a committee of the House of Representatives, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Nigerian Correctional Service, over allegations of bribery that occured at the Seme border.
