Hashimu Dungurawa, the Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), warned President Bola Tinubu that his administration could face defeat in the 2027 elections if it continues with policies that hurt ordinary Nigerians.
Speaking at a press conference in Kano, Dungurawa told Tinubu to either change his policies or prepare for defeat.
“If you continue with these policies that hurt Nigerians, we will change you in the next elections,” he said.
Dungurawa is confident that the NNPP will win across all states and even take the presidency in 2027.
He praised the growing support for the party and its growing presence in Nigeria, particularly in Kano State.
He also mentioned that Kano has seen a lot of progress, with improvements in infrastructure and the lives of ordinary people under the NNPP government.
Dungurawa dismissed rumours that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso might join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), calling it an attempt to tarnish his reputation.
He urged the government to focus on policies that help Nigerians and warned against any moves to make Nigeria a one-party state.
