Corps members nationwide are set to receive an increased monthly allowance of ₦77,000 starting February 2025, according to the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed.

Addressing Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina, Ahmed assured them that the Federal Government has approved the new payment, which is already captured in the 2025 budget.

However, disbursement will commence only after the budget is passed.

“This increment is confirmed, and we are only awaiting the final budget approval. While January has ended, by next month (February), corps members will start receiving ₦77,000 instead of ₦33,000,” he explained.
