Former Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, is set to deliver the keynote address at the 23rd Annual Conference of Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ).
The event will be held from November 7 to 8, 2024, in a hybrid format, with Prof. Folashade Ogunsola, Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, chairing the proceedings.
Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, Executive Director of WIMBIZ, reiterated the organisation’s commitment to empowering women, particularly in leadership roles.
She highlighted that the conference has impacted over 330,000 women since its inception, pushing for gender parity in leadership, especially in the financial sector, which has seen 30% female representation.
Opeyemi Oduwole, Chairman of the Conference Planning Group, noted that this year’s theme, “Dream. Dare. Do,” is a call for women to embrace leadership and take bold steps, particularly in challenging economic times.
