Abuja residents should brace for extended power cuts as the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) begins relocating key electricity lines along the Outer Southern Expressway.

The project, scheduled between January 6 and 31, 2025, will affect the supply of power in several areas.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) made this announcement on Friday, urging affected residents to make necessary preparations.

The outages will impact areas like Lugbe, Airport Road, Games Village, National Stadium, Nyanya, Mararaba, Keffi, and parts of Apo, Kubwa, and Jabi.

Other locations, including the EFCC Headquarters, Christ Embassy Church, and American International School, will also be affected.

AEDC assured residents it is working closely with the FCDA to minimise disruptions and restore electricity as soon as the relocation is completed.
