President Bola Tinubu has assigned Daniel Bwala as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, alongside three new directors-general for key federal agencies.
Bwala, a lawyer and public affairs analyst, previously served as a spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2023 presidential elections but later aligned with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He described his support for Tinubu’s administration as motivated by national interest rather than personal gain.
The president also appointed Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Abisoye Fagade as Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, and Adebowale Adedokun as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.
Olopade is a well-versed sports administrator, while Fagade is a marketing communication expert and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Adedokun previously held a leadership role in research and strategy at the Bureau of Public Procurement.
President Tinubu urged the appointees to serve with dedication and patriotism in their respective roles.
