Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, on Thursday, launched the redevelopment of Ijeh Police Barracks in Obalende, Lagos.

The project aims to deliver 2,200 modern housing units for police officers and their families.

Sanwo-Olu emphasised the state’s dedication to addressing housing deficits and enhancing security personnel welfare, describing the redevelopment as a commitment to improving the lives of those who protect the state.

He noted the barracks had deteriorated over the years due to neglect and insufficient maintenance.
