Bobrisky, who was apprehended at seme border while attempting to flee Nigeria, is currently detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.
A police source confirmed that Bobrisky spent the night in custody following his arrest by Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) officials at the Seme border while attempting to leave the country.
The source revealed that Bobrisky was brought to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday for safekeeping, and the authorities are awaiting further directives on the case.
FCID Annex spokesperson, Aminat Mayegun, confirmed Bobrisky’s detention and mentioned that they are seeking a remand order to keep him in custody.
It was however revealed in a statement made by NIS spokesperson Kenneth Udo, he stated that Bobrisky was intercepted at the border due to his status as a “person of interest” in relation to ongoing public concerns.
The NIS added that he is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
