Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, has secured three nominations for the upcoming 2025 Grammy Awards, bringing her career tally to eight.
The nominations, announced Friday, place her at the forefront of Nigerian artists, surpassing fellow nominees Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and Rema.
Tems’ nominations include Best African Music Performance for “Love Me JeJe,” Best Global Music Album for Born in the Wild, and Best R&B Song for “Burning.”
She joins an elite group of this year’s top Grammy nominees, with Beyoncé leading the pack at 11 nominations.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards, celebrating works released between September 16, 2023, and August 30, 2024, will be held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
In other major categories, international artists such as The Beatles, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift also received nominations.
