Singer Tems has reacted to a post where a fan compared her to the Yoruba water goddess Yemoja on social media.
Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer Tems has shared her thoughts on a comparison made by a fan of her and the popular Yoruba goddess Yemoja on the popular social media platform X earlier today, Saturday, September 29, 2023.
The fan had shared a post that described the singer as someone who bears a striking resemblance to the goddess, adding that she also embodies Yeye Osun as well. This caught the attention of the singer and led to a response that solidified her religion.
She posted, “Actually it’s about Jesus Christ teaching me how to walk on water, to trust Him and not in human understanding. He changed my life. And if you seek Him He will fill you up too. He is the Lord of Lords. The word of God, made flesh I am His sheep. He is my Shepherd. And I have been forever transformed. I am His forever. THATS JUST ME DOE.”
