President Bola Tinubu has pledged Nigeria’s full support for Ghana following John Mahama’s return to power.

Speaking at Mahama’s swearing-in on Tuesday in Accra, Tinubu hailed the former president’s victory as a beacon for African democracy.

Mahama, who led Ghana from 2012 to 2017, reclaimed the presidency after defeating the ruling party’s candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia, in a decisive election.

“Ghana has shown the world that democracy thrives in Africa,” Tinubu declared.

“This victory is proof that we need no validation beyond ourselves.”

Tinubu, a special guest at the ceremony, praised Mahama as a visionary leader and reaffirmed their close bond.

“John Mahama is not just a leader; he’s my brother and friend,” Tinubu said.

“Nigeria stands with you. Our bond is unshakable, and you can always count on our support.”

He wished Mahama a successful tenure, expressing hope for progress in Ghana and the region.

“Your leadership will inspire growth and unity, not just for Ghana but for all of Africa,” Tinubu concluded.
