President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Nigerian Muslims on this year’s Maulud Nabiy, the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement on Sunday, signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu urged Muslims to use this period for reflection and embrace the Prophet’s teachings of selflessness, perseverance, and compassion.
The President also encouraged Muslims to dedicate the holiday to prayers for Nigeria and to demonstrate empathy and kindness towards one another.
He stated, “As we mark the Maulud, we should all reflect on the life lived by Prophet Muhammad, exemplified by purity, selflessness, perseverance, kindness, and compassion. We must endeavour to imbibe those virtues.”
