After nearly three weeks away from the capital, President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja aboard the Presidential Aircraft.

Tinubu’s trip included attending the inauguration of Ghana’s President, John Mahama, in Accra and spending the festive season in Lagos.

His return comes at a pivotal time, as the Senate deliberates the 2025 Appropriation Bill and Tax Reforms Bill, both critical to his administration’s agenda.

During his visit to Ghana, Tinubu emphasised Nigeria’s shared history and long-standing bond with the West African nation.

Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the relationship as “a connection built on decades of cultural and economic ties.”

He noted that Tinubu’s friendship with Mahama, spanning over 40 years, would further deepen bilateral relations between the nations.

In addition to diplomatic engagements, Tinubu also made a brief visit to Enugu State during his time away from Abuja.

The President’s return signals a renewed focus on pressing national matters, including budgetary priorities and ongoing reforms designed to shape Nigeria’s economic future.
