President Bola Tinubu will be heading to Cape Town, South Africa, after his state visit in France.

He will co-chair the 11th Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa on December 3.

Ahead of the main session, ministers from both countries will meet on December 2 at the South African Parliament Building.

According to presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the meeting will focus on key areas like trade, defence, energy, and finance.

It will also look at the progress made since the last BNC meeting in Abuja in 2021.

This year marks 25 years since the BNC was set up in 1999 to strengthen ties between both nations.

Several agreements and MoUs are expected to be signed during the meeting.

President Tinubu, who is traveling with governors, ministers, and senior officials, will return to Nigeria after the event.

Earlier in France, Tinubu discussed bilateral deals with President Emmanuel Macron during his state visit.
