President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has presented the 2025 Budget Proposal to the National Assembly, highlighting a focus on security, infrastructure, health, and education as key areas for investment.
Addressing a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 18, President Tinubu unveiled the N47.9 trillion “Restoration Budget,” emphasising its alignment with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The primary aim of the budget is to restore peace, rebuild prosperity, and bolster the nation’s economic stability.
During the presentation, Tinubu detailed sectoral allocations, including N4.91 trillion for defence and security, N4.06 trillion for infrastructure, N3.52 trillion for education, and N2.48 trillion for health.
He emphasised the significance of these investments in addressing the nation’s developmental challenges.
“This budget reflects our unyielding commitment to securing peace, enhancing prosperity, and building a sustainable future,” Tinubu stated during his 30-minute address.
