Social Media Activist and Influencer, Martins Otse, better known by his social media alias VeryDarkMan, has suceeded in making the people excited with the launch of his Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), which focuses on community development and improving public school education.
This development was revealed in a viral Instagram post by VDM, he stated that his NGO has received over N33 million in donations within 24 hours, largely from individuals contributing small amounts.
VDM, who has previously advocated for transparency and accountability, shared screenshots of the donation totals and thanked the public for their generosity.
He emphasised that most contributions were N500 or less, demonstrating a collective willingness to support his cause despite economic challenges.
In a follow up post on Sunday, the controversial figure claimed he had received a call from the Nigerian Presidency, praising his efforts. Using his signature sarcastic tone, he humorously suggested that the government might seek financial aid from him, referencing Nigeria’s rising loan dependency.
However, VDM’s endeavor aims to not only uplift public schools but also promote transparency within Nigerian NGOs, a sector often marred by concerns over accountability.
