The Multiple award-winning Nigerian Sensation, Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim, popularly known as Wizkid, is potentially set to drop his highly anticipated sixth studio album ‘Morayo’, on October 1st, 2024.
The upcoming project is expected to follow his last album, ‘More Love, Less Ego’ (2022), which did not meet the anticipated reception.
In the meantime, Wizkid has contributed to Bob Marley’s One Love album and DJ Tunez’s popular remix of Apala Disco, maintaining his presence in the music scene.
The upcoming album, ‘Morayo’ is a tribute to his late mother, who passed away in 2023.
Despite Wizkid’s history of postponing releases, fans remain hopeful that the album or at least a new single will indeed drop on the promised date.
This date, coinciding with Nigeria’s Independence Day, was hinted at by the singer in a recent social media post, where he teased:
“On the day of independence, the truth shall set us free.”
