Afrobeats icon Wizkid has hit another career peak as his 2019 single Joro becomes eligible for Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after surpassing 500,000 units sold in the U.S. with 125 million Spotify streams and 290 million YouTube views, Joro remains a global sensation.
This milestone boosts Wizkid’s record as the most RIAA-certified Nigerian artist in the U.S., alongside past achievements such as Diamond for One Dance with Drake, and 4X Platinum for Essence (feat. Tems) and Come Closer (feat. Drake).
He has also earned Gold for tracks like Soco, Mood (feat. BNXN), and Brown Skin Girl (with Beyonce and Saint Jhn).
