President Bola Tinubu has approved the extension of Kemi Nandap’s tenure as Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026, reinforcing ongoing immigration and border security reforms.
Nandap, who has served in the NIS for over three decades, was appointed in March 2024 with an initial tenure set to end in August 2025.
However, Tinubu’s decision to prolong her leadership reflects confidence in her role in modernising immigration processes and strengthening national security.
Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Monday, noted that the administration remains committed to enhancing border management and ensuring secure migration policies, urging Nandap to sustain the momentum in alignment with national security priorities.
