Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has made headlines once again, this time for openly calling out Afrobeats giant Burna Boy. Although Burna reportedly gifted him ₦20 million, Portable says what he truly needs is mentorship and a music collaboration.
In a heartfelt Instagram video, the street-hop act expressed gratitude for the financial gesture but shared his frustration over being ignored. According to him, Burna has never responded to his messages or shown online interaction since the gift.
“I appreciate the money, but I’m looking for a feature that can open doors,” he said. “I don’t even have his number. I reach out, but I get no reply.”
The Zazoo crooner, who recently won a celebrity boxing match against Speed Darlington, said a collaboration would be more valuable than money. “I can spend ₦20 million in a day. Give me a verse that will change my life,” he said.
Regardless of how his message is received, Portable appears less interested in fleeting fame and more focused on solidifying his place in the industry with genuine recognition.
